Located in the Power & Light District of Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, One Light Tower is a 25-story, 311-unit luxury apartment building that features two retail tenants, club rooms, office space for The Cordish Companies, and two penthouse floors. Within five months, One Light reached 100 percent occupancy.<\/p>\n

Located just two blocks south of its sister high rise building One Light Tower, Two Light Tower is a 24-story, 296-unit luxury apartment building that features 18 floors of 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and penthouse apartment units, a seven-story parking garage with 499 spaces, and 3,100 square feet of retail space on the first floor. The high-rise building also includes lavish amenities such as outdoor deck featuring an infinity edge pool, grilling stations, cabanas, an indoor\/outdoor bar and a belvedere floating sun deck.<\/p>\n

What We Did<\/h4>\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n

Taliaferro & Browne provided civil engineering, land survey, and special inspection services for both projects. Civil Engineering services included site grading, streetscape design, utility design and ADA access analysis. Survey services included performing a topographic survey of the site and platting. Special Inspection services included inspecting the placement of reinforcing steel and concrete, bolts in reinforced concrete, high strength bolting, structural welding, and steel framing. Inspection also included structural masonry, post installed anchors, architectural components, and post tensioning systems.<\/p>\n
